Credit Counselor Position
As an independent CREDIT COUNSELOR, you are responsible for marketing and promotion in your local area to generate leads, and be available for calls from potential clients who are experiencing financial hardship. You will explain to the prospect our Debt Relief Program(s), and conduct a review of the prospect’s outstanding debt.
These positions require the ability to multi-task and meet required monthly performance goals while helping customers reduce/eliminate their debt.

1. Currently are experiencing financial hardship including bad credit, wish to solve their own financial problems and would like to help others;
2. Had financial problems in the past, found a credible solution and want to help others.
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & KEY COMPETENCIES:
- High School diploma or equivalent
- 2 years sales experience
- Background in sales, insurance, finance, consumer credit/counseling, banking, mortgage or related field
- Home computer and proficient in computer window-based programs
- Excellent communication skills and strong sales orientation
- Ability to deliver caring and attentive, knowledgeable, confident, helpful, and prompt phone service
- Ability to manage priorities in high workload environment
- Open-minded, approachable attitude and open to feedback
- Marketing and client prospecting ability including promotion in print
and internet media. Candidate will develop their own leads
- Positive “can do” attitude and a desire to exceed expectations
- Cell phone with voice mail for inbound client calls
- Candidates must be comfortable with Commission Only Sales, prospecting for leads, and be aggressive
in selling, presenting and closing deals over the phone and in-person.
